Declare assets by Nov 30 or face discontinuation of allowance, FBR tells officers

KARACHI: Failure to declare assets held and acquired for the fiscal year by all Field Formations officers of Inland Revenue Service and Pakistan Customs Service by November 30 would result in the discontinuation of the performance allowance.

A reminder issued by Revenue Division, FBR on November 17 said that a number of officers have still not submitted their declaration of assets despite an earlier letter issued by the FBR on August 5, 2014. The letter titled “Declaration of Assets held & Acquired by Govt Servants for the year ended June 30”, further said that the “Competent Authority has taken a serious view of the situation and has directed to initiate process to discontinue performance allowance of officers who fail to file the declaration of assets by November 30, 2014.”

It is therefore intimated, the letter read, that the performance allowance of officers who fail to submit all declaration of their assets by November 30 will be discontinued/denotified after November 30.

“Your are requested to circulate the above information to the concerned officers working under your administrative control. The complete declaration of assets may be addressed to Mr. Muhammad Adil Khan, Second Secretary (ERM-II) FBR (Hq), Islamabad”, the reminded concluded. The reminder was signed by Muhammad Majid, Secretary (Mgt-IR-I).
