FAISALABAD: The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Saima Ayaz has served show cause notice to a suspect through the Jhang Customs who is allegedly involved in Mitsubishi Pajero smuggling case.
As per details, the deputy collector issued notice to Faisal Abbas who is owner of the vehicle. The Anti-Smuggling Organization impounded the Mitsubishi Pajero bearing registration no: KSA-632 after the driver failed to show document regarding legal import of the vehicle.
The Customs Adjudication issued notices to Faisal Abbas on the violation of Section 10-A 89(1) and 156(1) of the Customs Act 1969. The accused were also called upon to show cause as to why the impounded vehicle should not be confiscated under aforementioned provisions of law.
However, the adjudication has directed the accused persons to file their replies by given time before the authority. The case might be decided in next hearing that will be held in next week.
