Deputy Collector Asma Hameed issues notice to suspect involved in smuggling of tyres, tubes

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Asma Hameed has issued a show cause notice to a suspect allegedly involved in smuggling of tyres and tubes worth Rs 325,000 involving customs duty and taxes to the tune of Rs 87,750.

Sources told Customs Today that the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO), Jhang, intercepted a vehicle bearing registration no. DN-8939 which was coming from Peshawar. During the checking, the customs team recovered foreign origin tyres and tubes of different brands.
