FBR chairman, DFID chief to discuss ways to improve system in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Richard Montgomery, Country Head of Department for International Development (DFID), Pakistan to hold meeting with Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Tariq Bajwa today (Wednesday) to discuss the taxation system.

In the meeting, the officials will discuss the matters pertaining to the improvement in tax collection system and tax awareness campaigns.

The role of FBR to spread awareness among people during last year and its results will also be come under review in this meeting.

It is important to mention here that DFID has been assisted FBR, financially in various projects to make it more efficient and to broaden tax net in order to achieve the set revenue targets.
