Customs Intelligence DG Imtiaz Ahmed takes action against three officials in Karachi

KARACHI: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Director General Imtiaz Ahmed visited the directorate in Karachi and transferred three officials of the Anti-Smuggling Organisation for their alleged involvement in smuggling.

The DG Intelligence and Investigation initially held separate meetings with Director Intelligence and Investigation ASO Asif Marghoob Siddiqui and Director Intelligence and Investigation Muhammad Yakoob Makoo and lauded the performance of the directorate.

However, the DG transferred Deputy Superintendent Haji Aslam and Inspector Pervez Zardari from Karachi directorate and posted them at Sukkur while Inspector Akmal Hashmi transferred to Hyderabad.

There were several complaints against these officers and they were said to be patronizing pilferage and replacement of Transshipment cargo.
