Punjab Excise DG directs all regions to meet revenue target

FAISALABAD: The Punjab Excise and Taxation director general in a recent meeting has instructed the directors of all regions to recover the property tax, motor vehicles tax and professional tax from the defaulters.

For this purpose, the Excise and Taxation Department has withheld the additional charges assigned to inspectors in order to expedite the revenue recovery process.

Speaking to the participants of the meeting, the director general also directed the authorities concerned to tighten the noose around tax evaders.

The DG also urged the directors to meet the set revenue target for the current fiscal year 2014-15, besides asking them to show zero tolerance towards tax defaulters.
