DG reforms, automation amends Assessment Module in the WeBOC system

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Reforms and Automation (Customs) amended Assessment Module in the WeBOC system as previously the traders had not option to upload supporting documents during review proceedings before Deputy Collector, Assistant Collector or Principal Appraisers.

Traders have been allowed to upload supporting documents on online WeBOC customs clearance system during review proceedings.

The directorate also linked the list of locally manufactured items notified through Customs General Order (CGO) No. 02/2017 with the Goods Declaration (GD) assessment module so that relevant information regarding locally manufactured items may be reviewed by assessing officers.

Further, Secretary (Customs Budget) FBR has been provided the option to upload any CGO in WeBOC system which shall be linked with the GC assessment module for viewing by the assessing officers.

The directorate said that for facilitating the monitoring of GD available in disputed GDs folder a new tab has been created for AC/DC Assessment to general report of pending disputed GDs in excel format.
