DG Valuation revises customs values of Sodium Saccharine

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation has revised the customs values of Sodium Saccharine Valuation Ruling No: 1273/2018 under Section 25-A of the Customs Act-1969.

Earlier the customs values of Sodium Saccharine were determined vide Valuation Ruling No. 446/2012 dated 20.03.2012.

The existing valuation ruling is about five year old, therefore required to be revised in line with the prevailing prices in the international market. Keeping in view the prevailing prices in the international markets this Directorate General initiated an exercise for determination of the Customs Values of the Sodium Saccharine in terms of Section 25-A of the Customs Act, 1969.

Stakeholders participation in determination of Customs values: Meetings stakeholders including importers, representatives from Pakistan Chemicals and Merchants Association (PCDMA) and representatives from field formations ere held on 30.01.2018, 27.02.2018 and 13.03.2018, to discuss the prices of the subject goods.
