DGTR starting 6-day training course for customs agents from 23rd

KARACHI: Directorate General of Training & Research is starting a six-day mandatory course for Customs agents from November 23 to November 3O.

In response to Karachi Customs Agents Association’s application for the participation in the training course, the Directorate General of Training & Research, under rule 99 of customs agents licensing rules, has arranged (1st Batch) of the mandatory course during the above-mentioned dates (excluding public holidays) from 9:30am to 01:00pm at the Auditorium, Ground Floor, DGTR (Customs), Old Custom House, Karachi.

It is further mentioned that according to the Customs Rules, 2001, the Directorate General will entertain only the license holder Agents (Proprietors/ Partners/Directors) and not their employees/managers/ representatives in the subject course. However, the attendance of participating Customs Agents in the upcoming course will be administered through bio-metric attendance machine. Hence members who have been nominated in Batch No.01 are requested to appear for bio-metric registration and orientation on November 23, 2018 along with attested copy of licence and original CNIC.

The participants have been asked to attend in time as per schedule and ensure 90 per cent attendance which is mandatory for the successful completion of the subject course. Scheduled along with Instructions as [Annex A, B & C) issued by the DGTR are enclosed for strict compliance.
