Director Internal Audit-Customs Imtiaz Ahmed holds review meeting of department

KARACHI: Newly appointed Director Internal Audit-Customs Imtiaz Ahmed called a meeting of the additional directors, deputy directors and assistant directors to review the working of the directorate.

Director Imtiaz Ahmed was briefed on the performance of the officials and told him that the department was up to the task to prepare the audit paras.

The officials informed the director that they have prepared audited paras in connection with steel billets, auto-parts and plastic dana from all three field formation collectorates i.e. Customs Appraisement West, East and Customs Port Muhammad Bin Qasim.

The authorities further informed that those audit-paras after completion have been sent to the respective Collectorates for settlements.

The director of the Directorate of Internal Audit-Customs lauded the performance of the officers and officials of the department and urged them to adopt the same speed in order to accomplish any assignment.

The Director Imtiaz Ahmed was also called on by the Director General of the Directorate of Internal Audit-Customs Dr Owais Agha Jawwad and taken overall review of the department.

It may be mentioned here that the post of the director in the Directorate General was fall vacant for last one year or so and Director General of the Directorate of Internal Audit-Customs was looking after the additional charge of the said post.
