KARACHI: Customs Valuation Director Wasif Memon has revised the customs values of electricity meters vide Valuation Ruling No. 931/2016.
The values of electricity meters were earlier determined vide Valuation Ruling No. 565/2013. Since the ruling was over 3 years old it needed revision in the light of prices prevailing in the international market. So, the department initiated an exercise to determine the new values of these goods.
The department has announced $4 customs value on the import of for single phase electricity meters for domestic use from China and $6 on the import from other regions.
For China origin three phase non-digital electricity meters, the new customs value is $17 and for other regions the value has been announced as $26.
