Dry Port Peshawar goes profitable with Rs515m revenue from July to November

PESHAWAR: The Dry Port Peshawar has generated an amount of Rs2891million revenue from July to November during current FY2017-18 against Rs2376million done from July up to November in the previous FY2016-17.

So the Dry Port Peshawar has collected Rs515million more revenue from July to November of current FY 2017-18 against previous FY 2016-17 for which the activity of Dry Port Peshawar was praised by Collector Customs at Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar.

The Dry Port Peshawar collected Rs1181.46million revenue under the head of Customs Duty from July up to November during the current FY2017-18 while it had generated Rs1057.34million of Sales Tax up to November of current FY2017-18 which is more than generated up to November in previous FY 2016-17.

In the same way, the Dry Port Peshawar received Rs165.48million as ST on VM Imports while an amount of Rs461.16million was done under the head of withholding tax from July up to November of the current FY2017-18.

Similarly, the Dry Port Peshawar collected an amount of Rs25.56million of Federal Excise Duty from 1st of July up to 30th of November of the current FY 2017-18.

Collector Customs Gul Rahman appreciated the increase in the revenue collection of the Dry Port and remarked that the customs staff at the Dry Port Peshawar has done a great job.
