Dubai Customs wins New Market Solution Award

DUBAI: Dubai Customs has won the ‘New Market Solution Award’ for the applications that were developed and employed during the WCO IT Conference and Exhibition, themed ‘Effective Solutions for Coordinated Border Management’, held last May.

The awards were presented in a ceremony that took place recently in New York, US, where many prominent names competed for the awards by presenting their media projects that accompanied their activities.

Khalil Saqer, Director of Corporate Communication Department at Dubai Customs, presented the award to H.E Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Executive Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, Director General of Dubai Customs, as an appreciation for H.E’s constant motivation for innovation.

Mr Butti expressed his happiness for winning this award, which comes in recognition of the efforts exerted by the Communication Department along with other departments at Dubai Customs that jointly worked relentlessly to make the conference and exhibition a remarkable success that was applauded by over 1000 international participants.

Mr Saqer emphasised that the Department’s winning of this award was a result of the massive support given to Dubai Customs’ divisions and departments, under the directives of the Director General to collaborate for the success of the conference.
