Dy Collector Najib appreciated for collecting Rs1325.87m revenue during 2017-18

PESHAWAR: The Model Customs Collectorate of Customs House Peshawar has received Rs1325.87million revenue from Torkham Custom Station in July and August of FY2017-18, said by Muhammad Najib Anjum, Deputy Collector of Torkham Customs Station, on Friday at Khyber Agency.

Collector Customs at Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar Gul Rahman lauded the efforts of Deputy Collector Torkham Customs for his untiring efforts to generate more revenue during the current FY2017-18 for which smart steps have been taken to avoid the loss to the national exchequer. A tip-off received by Deputy Collector has also added a big part of revenue to the monthly collections of Torkham Customs Station from July 1 to August 13.

The Torkham Customs Station from July to August collected an amount of Rs444.65million CT and did RD of Rs11.26million and earned Rs27.84million revenue by auctioning off miscellaneous goods.

The Torkham Custom Station generated an amount of Rs295.41million ST on items during two months from July to August in the current Financial Year 2017-18.

The Torkham Customs got Rs39.93million as ST on VM importers and did Rs545.88million AIT in which it has earned Rs375.29million from AIT imports and Rs170.59million revenue by AIT exports.

Deputy Collector added that an amount of Rs744.14million was received in August while Rs581.73million was done in July of the current FY which is Rs162.41million more than the collection of previous month for which the Torkham Customs needs appreciation.
