Ebad says Sindh govt, Centres striving to promote investment

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has said that the Federal and Sindh governments are taking constructive steps for promoting local and foreign investment.

Speaking at the 2nd Diplomatic and Foreign Investment Award 2016 ceremony at Governor House here, he said that Pakistan, particularly Sindh province, is very attractive and safe for investment. The government is especially providing all possible facilities to foreign investors, he added.

The awards ceremony was organised by Diplomatic Forum for Socio-Economic Foundation. It was attended by consul generals and other diplomats from Saudi Arabia, the United States, China, Italy, Switzerland, Oman, Iran and others countries.

Leading businessman S.M. Munir, Arshad Siddiqui, Afzal Ahmed Siddiqui and Abdul Haseeb Khan also attended the event.The Governor appreciated the efforts by the Diplomatic Forum for Socio-Economic Foundation for promoting investment.

Dr. Ishratul Ebad said continuity of investment-friendly policies at federal and provincial levels will ensure economic progress and prosperity.  The Governor, praising the positive role of diplomats, said they are encouraging the companies of their countries to invest in Pakistan, especially Sindh province.

Speaking on the occasion, the Patron of Diplomatic Forum for Socio-Economic Foundation, Arshad Siddiqui, said the Forum was founded in 2011 for socio-economic development.

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Chief Executive SM Munir lauded the Sindh Governor for his cooperation with the business community.  The Sindh Governor was also presented an award by the Diplomatic Forum for his services.
