MULTAN: Election Commission of Pakistan has exempted Customs employees from election duties after the request of Federal Board of Revenue.
According to details, Multan Customs Collectorate Enforcement staff including Inspectors, Headclerks and others were attending election trainings organized by District Election Commission Multan to train staff for conducting free, fair, and transparent elections.
Additional Collector Multan Customs Enforcement Shah Faisal Sahu has directed all employees and staff who were attending trainings of Election Commission to join their responsibilities as Customs has already shortage of staff and performed their placement duties.
In an unprecedented move, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has exempted all employees of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) from election duties for the upcoming general elections including Customs .
