SARGODHA: The electrical manufacturers have urged the government to impose a ban on unreliable imported products which is harming local industry.
Pakistan Electrical Manufacturers Association (PEMA) Vice President Khalil Ahmed, addressing a seminar on awareness about Pak-Plas International exhibition to be held in March, said that local manufacturing industry was facing severe problems due to availability of cheaper imported products in the market although the quality of such items was very low.
Association’s Convener Ikhlaq Ahmed said that local manufacturers could produce much quality and low-cost products subject to the facilities provided by the government. He said that Sargodha manufacturing industry secures a better position among manufactures’ association and would also participate in Manufacturers Exhibition in March.
