Embassies asked to use WeBOC instead of one customs for shipments: Addl Collector Khawaja Naeem

ISLAMABAD: Customs Collectorate Air Freight Unit (AFU) has requested Foreign Office (FO) to ask all embassies to file Goods Declaration (GDs) instead of one customs.

Additional Collector Air Freight Unit (AFU) Khawaja Naeem told Customs Today that One Customs (manual data) has become old one and now its time to send consignments via new computerized system Web-based software for customs clearance (WeBOC).

He said that around 98% of embassies has switched over to WeBOC but rest of two percent must be import there consignments via new system because it is very difficult to handle the consignment with two ways.

He said that we have write to foreign office to inform the rest of embassies to send there consignment with filing the GDs rather then one customs.

He said that all the countries like America, European, China and many other developed countries have switched over to WeBOC and rest will be come in soon.

He said that the Pakistan Customs has shifted all the manual data of imports and exports on new web-based software for custom clearance (WeBOC).
