European businessmen pledges to bring more investment in soccer ball industry

SIALKOT: The visiting leading businessmen of different European countries have pledged to make all out sincere efforts to bring maximum foreign investment in soccer ball industry of Sialkot-Pakistan, besides, assuring their full support and technical cooperation to Sialkot based soccer balls manufacturers and exporters.

They stated this while holding important meetings with their business partners Anwar Khawaja Industries (AKI) in Sialkot on the final day of their two-day long visit to Sialkot here.

“we have found very business-friendly atmosphere in Sialkot as the national economy of Pakistan was moving towards the right direction economical stability due to the effective and positive economical policies of Pakistan”, the revealed.

The European businessmen reviewed in details the mutual business promotion opportunities and investment in Sialkot’s soccer balls industry.

They also announced their big investment especially in hand stitched footballs, machine made footballs and thermo footballs manufacturing at Sialkot as well.

The European leading businessmen led by Peter Knap (the CEO of world’s No.1 Select Sports Company Denmark) said that they will also motivate their business partners around the globe to do maximum business in Sialkot-Pakistan.

They also assured that they will further expand their business activities through investing in different joint ventures with their business partners in Sialkot-Pakistan.

Peter Knap told the newsmen that they have visited Pakistan fearlessly, saying that they were very happy to be in Sialkot-Pakistan with their worldwide business partners as well.

He added that his company (SELECT sports Denmark) with expand their business with their business partners Anwar Khawaja Industries (AKI) in Sialkot-Pakistan.

Dr. Khurram Anwar Khawaja (the CEO of Anwar Khawaja Industries-AKI) Sialkot discussed in details the matters related to the foreign business trends, their need and challenges, opportunities of foreign business growth and investment in Sialkot as well.

On this occasion, the  foreign leading businessmen Peter Knap, Jesper Ullit Jensen, Soren Nielsen,  Jacek Witkowski(Denmark), Paul Ricardo, Laszlo Veisz (Poland), Sam Andre Smet, Alex Mrcel Smet(Belgium ), Lanfranco Battista, Francesco Longo(Italy), Jaochim Boehmer, Tobias Erich Thurau, Frederik Lodewijk Jansen , Marcel Alexander Brink (Germany), Claus Lyhne Philipsen, Lars Nielsen, Sune Raunstrup (Denmark) and Colin Michael Omen(USA)again assured that they will further expand their business activities through investing in different joint ventures with their business partners in Sialkot-Pakistan.

They witnessed the production processes of soccer balls manufacturing though the use of advanced technology.

Sialkot based leading exporters Dr. Khurram Anwar Khawaja, Khawar Anwar Khawaja, Mrs. Aneeta Khawaja, Tahir Butt, Mian Abdul Shakur, Saeed Qureshi, Abid Hussain Mehdi (Senior Vice Chairman Sialkot Press Club Sialkot), senior journalists Abdul Shakur Mirza, Arif Mehmood Sheikh, Abdul Majeed Butt and other were also present on this occasion
