Every customs employee should perform well for better results: Collector Zulfiqar Ali

ISLAMABAD:  Collector Customs Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhry has lauded the employees of his department for getting appreciation and rewards by performing their duties honestly and asked other customs officers to learn good things from their colleagues.

Collector Zulfiqar Ali expressed these views during a ceremony held in honor of retired customs employees who had retired from service during the last two months. He said that Pakistan Customs is a department where every employee has to show outstanding performance because without better performance no employee can produce better results.

The collector said that every customs officer must have something special in his personality. “We must make that specialty our strength rather to depend on favors or “sifarish”,” he said, adding “We should concentrate on our responsibilities and every customs staff must have its target regarding his duties.”

Zulfiqar Ali said that he is still carrying that experiences which he learnt from his colleagues when he had joined Pakistan Customs Service.

Addressing the employees, Additional Collector Ishfaque Khan also appreciated the performance of retired officers, saying: “We all spend more time together as compare to time which we spend with our families.” He prayed for good future of retired employees.

At the end of ceremony, Collector Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary presented souvenirs to retired customs officers.
