Excise and LDA tussle: LDA seals excise office in Faisal Town Lahore

LAHORE: After sealing of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) parking plaza by excise, LDA sealed the Excise and Taxation office in Faisal Town Lahore on not paying the commercial fee by owner of the property.

Sources informed Customs Today that LDA took action on Saturday to recover the commercial fee and sealed the rented office of the Excise Region-B in Faisal Town Lahore.

Excise officials informed that department was not the defaulter of the commercial fee as it paid rent of the building to the property owner and it was owners’ responsibility to pay commercial fee.

However, LDA desealed the office on assurance of the property owner to pay commercial fee

It is important to mention that excise had sealed the LDA parking plaza on default of property tax but LDA desealed it without the permission of authority concerned.
