FBR seeks Customs-Preventive officials’ transfer/posting record of last three years

KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Preventive Karachi is preparing a list of the officials including Senior Preventive officer (SPO), Superintendent Preventive Service (SPS) and Inspector Preventive Service (IPS) of BS-16, transferred/posted on different slots during the last three years.

Sources informed Customs Today that the Customs chief collector has assigned the task to authorities concerned of MCC-Preventive for making list of officials.

Sources further revealed that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has asked for the details of the transfer and posting of MCC-Preventive officials during the last three years at all places including posting at AFU, airport, Anti-Smuggling Organization, oil section and others.

“The authorities concerned of MCC-Preventive are scrutinizing the data of officials who were transferred/ posted during the last three years”, sources added.

Responding to a query, sources did not disclose the certain reason of the said exercise doing by the authorities concerned of MCC-Preventive, but stated that it was sure that something very significant is behind the said exercise.

The MCC-Preventive officials up to BS-16 have also expressed their discomfort over scrutinizing the transfer and posting data of officials of last three years and stated that the entire working in this regard has plunged them in mental agony.
