Excise Dept to bring 10 new cities into tax net in Gujranwala region

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has announced to bring 10 new cities of Gujranwala Region under the property tax net, besides, completing proper planning to levy the property taxes on the local properties.

According to the senior officials of Excise and Taxation Department, the 10 new cities including Noushehra Virkan, Kotla Arab Ali Khan, Dinga, Chawinda, Badiana, Baddo Malhi being brought under the property tax net.

E&T has completed the survey of all the properties in these cities, besides, compiling their data under different categories. The final recommendations have been sent to the Punjab government for final approval in this regard.

After the awaited final approval by the Punjab government, the property tax on the properties in these new cities would be levied under different categories, the officials added.
