Excise DG Akram tells directors of nine divisions to achieve revenue target

SIALKOT: Excise And Taxation Department Director General Dr Akrma Ashraf Gondal has urged the directors of nine divisions to achieve revenue target for current fiscal year 2015-16.

Following the directions, the all directors have constituted various teams, which have been deputed in fields to recover stuck up revenue.

Meanwhile, The Sialkot Excise has sealed 177 commercial properties for non -payment of property tax. Excise and Taxation Officer Iftikhar Kahoat told Customs Today that the teams conducted raids in different areas and sealed the properties.

He added that the excise also recovered property tax arrears amounting to Rs 1.6 million during crackdown against defaulters.

On the special directions of Gujranwala Excise Director Rao Shakeel ur Rehman, final notices have been served on the defaulters stating that their properties will be sealed if they remained reluctant to pay the tax.
