Excise holds walk to create awareness against dengue

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation (E&T) office Punjab held an anti-dengue walk on Sunday to create awareness among masses.

As per directions of the Punjab government, all departments of the Punjab government remained open on Sunday and they held special walks and and conducted seminars regarding dengue awareness.
The Punjab government is very active against dengue and walks were being held in various parts of the province. The Excise officials arranged a rally on Jail Road in this regard and checked rooms gardens and other lawns in the offices to detect the larva of dengue in excise offices.

On the instructions of the Punjab government, anti-dengue day was observed in Forests, Fisheries & Wildlife, Zakat & Ushr departments, Lahore Arts Council and Samanabad Town. Special cleanliness was made in the offices.

Anti-dengue spray was conducted in the offices of Forests Department and Chief Conservator Forests Rana Shabbir Ahmed led an awareness walk regarding dengue. Flowerpots, rooms and store rooms were checked in offices of Secretary Zakat & Ushr, Administrator Zakat and all divisional and district offices and cleanliness was also carried out for disposal of rainwater for checking dengue larva.
On anti-dengue day at Lahore Arts Council (Alhamra), Chairman Alhamra Atta-ul-Haq Qasmi, Executive Director Capt. (R) Atta Muhammad Khan and other administrative officers checked cleanliness in the offices, delivered lectures and distributed pamphlets regarding dengue awareness among children participating in various program at Alhamra. Spray was also conducted for the eradication of dengue in all halls and lawns. TMO Samanabad Town Malik Imtiaz Awan visited rooms and roofs of the office and checked cleanliness arrangements. He directed anti-dengue teams to accelerate their activities for eradication of dengue larva.
