SCCI to hold awards distribution ceremony in Islamabad today

SIALKOT: The venue of holding the Sialkot’s first ever “Best Achievement Awards” distribution ceremony has been changed to the federal capital from export-oriented Sialkot due to some security concerns.

Now, this prestigious ceremony of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) would be held at the Presidency in Islamabad on August 04, 2015 Tuesday (today).

SCCI President Fazal Jillani told Customs Today that the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) was going to hold this prestigious ceremony first time in the history of Sialkot for acknowledging the meritorious services of the Sialkot exporters in playing backbone road in strengthening the national exports and boosting the national economy.

President Mamnoon Hussain will distribute as many as 61 Best Achievement Awards and 21 Lifetime Achievement Awards amongst the Sialkot exporters during this ceremony, the SCCI President revealed.

Earlier, this ceremony was to be held at Sialkot on June 13th, 2015, but it was postponed due to the cancellation of visit of President Mamnoon Hussain a few hours before the start of this function.

Meanwhile, the Sialkot exporters were much excited to be the guest of this ceremony in the Presidency at Islamabad, saying that the day of August 4, 2015 would be the day of Sialkot exporters in Presidency at Islamabad. More than 1000 guests, most of them the leading exporters, would be expected to attend this function there.

On the other hand, during an important meeting, the SCCI’s Executive Committee reviewed in details the said program and finalized all the arrangements, in this regard.
