Multan Excise brings 105 property dealers in tax net in two days

MULTAN: The Excise and Taxation Department have registered 105 property dealers in Multan during last two days. Excise has initiated the action against the property traders who have not registered their business. Huge numbers of property dealers have submitted their application for the registering of their property business in the Excise and Taxation department.

Sources told Customs Today that the Property Dealers Association has appealed the authorities for further extension of some time for registration of their property businesses. After the start of crackdown against those who were not registered property businessmen, majority is applying for registration to avoid sealing of their businesses.

Excise and Taxation Department is processing the registration of property traders with the professional tax of worth 10,000 and security charges of 10,000 for each property trader. Excise and Taxation Department had only 120 registered property dealers in the whole city before this registration procedure. The registration of property merchants will assist the Multan Excise and Taxation Department in collection of handsome revenue because huge quantities of property traders are out of tax net list.
