Excise Kasur impounds 280 defaulter vehicles

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department Kasur has seized 280 vehicles owned by token tax defaulters.

According to Excise and Taxation Officer Kasur Malik Muhammd Aslam, excise teams, under his supervision, have started a crackdown in different areas of the Kasur district and checked more than 700 vehicles in which 280 vehicles were found token tax defaulters.

The excise teams handed over these vehicles to the police. A huge amount of token tax was also recovered during this campaign. While on the other hand, Excise Kasur also continued action against property tax defaulters and seized many commercial properties in Kasur and Chunian. The department has sealed many motor workshops and shops in Kasur.

The excise started crackdown against defaulters of property tax, professional tax and token tax on special directions of Director General Excise Akram Ashraf Gondal.
