LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department Kasur is continuing its crackdown against defaulters of property tax, token tax, professional tax and entertainment tax with full enthusiasm.
Sources told Customs Today that to chase the revenue target of third quarter of the fiscal year 2015-16, Kasur excise collected Rs 110 million from defaulters and still tightening its screws against defaulters. During one and half month of January and February excise has seized 2,800 properties in Kasur, Chunian, Khudian, Raja Jhang, Usmanwala, Kanganpur, Allahabad and other factory areas of the district. ETO Malik Saleem has directed the staff of the excise to complete their target within set time and take strict action against defaulters. Properties sealed in the dostrict include workshops, factories, marriage halls and farm houses as well.
While on the other hand more than 3,000 vehicles were impounded in different cities of the district due to token tax default. Excise Kasur has also detected a factory which was manufacturing trucks illegally.
