Kasur Excise seizes 70 token tax defaulter vehicles

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department Kasur has seized 70 vehicles because of token tax default.

Sources told Customs Today that excise teams, under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer Malik Muhammad Aslam, started crackdown in different cities of the distract Kasur and checked more than 300 vehicles in which 70 vehicles were found token tax defaulters. The excise teams handed over these vehicles to police. A huge amount of token tax was also recovered during this campaign.

On other hand, the Excise Kasur also continued action against property tax defaulters and seized many commercial properties in Kasur and Chunian. The department has sealed many motor workshops and shops in Kasur.

The excise started crackdown against defaulters of property tax, professional tax and token tax on special directions of Director General Excise Akram Ashraf Gondal.
