KARACHI: Sindh Excise and Taxation Minister Gayan Chand Israni has said that the intelligence wing of the department needs to be stronger.
“Excise officers should remain alert near border areas. It is necessary to keep an eye on the transportation of all goods that are used in the production of narcotics, especially methyl alcohol that is not only used for industrial purposes, but also for the narcotics.”
The minister advised the officers to show respect towards people and be punctual.
“The courtesy of the officials with the public should be a model for others. I can visit the offices at any time. Stern action will be taken against negligent officials,” he said.
