KARACHI: The Excise and Taxation Department’s retired employees are still waiting for 10 percent increase in their pensions.
According to the sources, the Sindh government has stated in 2015-16 budgets to increase the salaries and pensions of government employees, but nothing has been done for the pensioners. Therefore, pensioners of ET are worried for not getting their 10 percent increase.
Sindh government has not issued the notification of retired employee’s increment while on the other hand increment notification of regular employees has already been issued.
Personal Secretary to Assistant Secretary Excise Muhammad Furqan has said that notification of 10 percent increase in pensions for retired employees will be issued within two to three days.
