Excise Punjab renews 86 permits in August

LAHORE: The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has renewed 86 alcohol permits during the month of August. These permits were issued to the Christian community only to sale and purchase of alcohol.

According to a senior official, the department is issuing and renewing alcohol permits and up to now more than 5,000 permits have been renewed. There are total 10,000 permit holders in Punjab and all these permits were renewed with the start of the new fiscal year in July. The Excise Department issues these permits on specific terms and conditions to the persons of Christian community.
