Excise recovers Rs 3.6m property tax from Al Jabran Catering Service

KARACHI: The Excise and Taxation Department has recovered Rs 3.62 million in the wake of property tax from Al Jabran Catering Service.

As per details, the excise issued a tax notice to the company for payment of property tax, which was paid by it soon after receiving the notice.

Meanwhile, the property branch sealed three commercial buildings on tax default. The department issued notices to the owners of the buildings many times but they were reluctant to pay taxes. The buildings are consisted of various offices and vehicles’ showrooms.

Official said that some influential people tried to stop them when they went to seal the buildings, adding that all buildings were sealed following directions of the Excise and Taxation secretary.
