Excise seals 132 properties of tax defaulters

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has launched a crackdown against tax defaulters and sealed 132 properties due to non payment of professional tax.

The Excise and Taxation officials are speeding up their campaign for recovery of professional, property and other taxes from defaulters. District officer Excise and Taxation Muzaffar Qayyum  told Customs Today that his department has tightened noose around the neck of defaulters for tax recovery. He said that the department will recover even a single penny  from defaulters. He said that the department will not spare any defaulter because the government has strictly instructed them to take every possible measure to recover taxes.
