Excise seals 200 residential, commercials properties

ISLAMABAD: Thee Excise and Taxation Department, Rawalpindi, has sealed 200 residential and commercial properties of defaulters in a grand operation while it has also recovered Rs 5.4 million in single day.

According to details, on the direction of Director Excise Rawalpindi Taveer Abbas Gondal, the excise and taxation team has started the grand operation against the defaulters of property tax in the areas of Murree road, Faizabad, Satellite Town, F Block and Pindora area and seal around 200 residential and commercials properties. These were collectively defaulters of over Rs 10 million.

Sources added that during the grand operation the department also recovered Rs 5.4 million in the term of property tax.  It is important to mention here that the department formed team for this operation and assigned task to seal the properties of the defaulters and the operation will be continued with zero tolerance policy.
