KARACHI: The Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has seized two factories and one beauty parlour in Karachi.
Sources told Customs Today that M/s Aniq Textile Mills, and Ramzan and Company have not been paying property tax for the last 10 years.
The Excise authorities issued them four notices, asking them to clear the outstanding tax dues, but both companies ignored the reminders. After their failure to submit property tax returns, the authorities seized both factories.
During another crackdown Excise teams seized Salena Beauty Parlour which was located in Sher Shah area. The above said beauty parlour did not submit property tax from last five years. Authorities said that if the seized companies and beauty parlour to deposit their outstanding tax amount in ten days period then their companies and beauty parlour will be reopened.
