Lahore: Excise seizes 35 vehicles during road checking

LAHORE: The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has confiscated 35 defaulting vehicles during a crackdown in the city.

According to details, the Customs Motor Branch checked a number of vehicles at Liberty Chowk and seized 35 vehicles.

Excise also received Rs 65,000 of token tax during crackdown against defaulter vehicles.

Motor Branch has formed eight special teams to take action against defaulters. Excise Motor Branch formed many checkpoints in the city to keep check on defaulting vehicles. During road checking Excise teams checked dozens of vehicles in different areas of Lahore and seized documents of many vehicles as well.

Documents of the defaulting vehicles were seized at Jail Road, Liberty Chowk, Gulberg, Ferozpur Road, Multan Road, Thokar Niaz Baig, Wapda Town, Defense Housing Authority, Band Road, Shahdra and Sagian Bridge.
