Excise seizes documents of 117 vehicles including Punjab Assembly car

LAHORE: The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department Motor Branch Lahore, during road checking, has seized documents of 117 defaulter and unregistered vehicles.

According to Motor Branch officials, special teams checked 470 vehicles in different areas of the city and seized documents of 117 defaulter vehicles. The department has formed different teams to check the vehicles which are not registered and are token tax defaulter.

During road checking Excise Motor Branch took action without any discrimination and seized documents of Punjab Assembly vehicle as well. Inspector Excise Khalid Jameel detained documents of LEG 1177 property of Punjab Assembly.

On March 31 on direction of Director Motor Branch Suhail Arshad special teamsto check vehicles. The teams formed special check points at Wapda Town, Model Town, Faisal Town, Thokar Niaz Baig, Multan Road, shahdara, railway station and Ravi Road.

Crackdown against defaulters likely to continue in coming days.
