Excise seizes documents of 41 vehicles

KARACHI: The Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has seized documents of 41 unregistered vehicles during a special crackdown against token tax defaulters and unregistered vehicles.

Talking to Customs Today, Sadiq Rajar has said that the campaign is going against unregistered vehicles with full force, while in the second stage of the campaign rickshaw and mini buses will be checked. He said, “We have seized eight unregistered vehicles while penalty has been imposed on six mini buses, 12 cars and 23 rickshaws.”

He said we are planning to launch advertisement campaign against owners of token tax defaulters vehicles, while special crackdown will be conducted in last week of every month. Replying to a question he said that there were some problems while issuing new number plates to vehicles but now all these problems are solved and we are displaying list of new number plates in our department’s web-site.
