Excise seizes drugs, 100 bottles of alcohol in Lahore

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department in an operation against the drug mafia has recovered a huge quantity of narcotics and other toxic drugs.

According to Excise Officer Lateef Anjum, the Narcotics Cell arrested a notorious drug dealer, Gurya, in a raid at his hideout in the Data Darbar area.

On the special directives of Director General Ahmad Aziz Tarar, a campaign has been launched against drug dealers.

The excise team including ETO Lateef Anjum, Inspector Waqas Aslam, Muhammad Javed and other constables conducted raids and seized 100 bottles of alcohol form the accused.

In another action in Shahdara, an excise team recovered a number of toxic injections from an accused dealer.

Other drugs were also seized by officials during raids in Data Darbar and Factory Area of Kot Lakhpat. The department got the cases registered against the arrested accused in their respective police stations.
