LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department has started a crackdown against token tax defaulters and unregistered vehicles throughout the province.
A senior official of the Excise and Taxation Department informed Customs Today that all the regions had been directed to carry out special crackdown against token tax defaulters and unregistered vehicles. The crackdown will generate more revenue as the current fiscal year is going to end soon and the department has to meet the revenue target set for the financial year 2015-16.
The excise teams had taken strict action against defaulters in different regions, the official added.
