Sindh Excise to adopt new strategy to collect vehicles tax

KARACHI: Department of Excise and Taxation Sindh is adopting new strategy for collection of vehicles tax. Through this strategy vehicles tax collection will be streamlined.

Talking to Customs Today, Excise and Taxation officer Abdul Shakoor Hongoro said that it was decided during a meeting that open courts will be established on roads to collect vehicles tax on the spot. These court will be established during first ten days of each month. This practice will continue further six months. These courts will be authorized to impose fine on the spot. These courts will also check un-registered vehicles.

He further told this correspondent that now customers will not face any kind of hardships to get new number plate of their vehicles. He said by adopting new strategy the process of new number plate is simplified. He said in the past we were receiving lot of complaints from customers who were face hardships in getting new number plates but now all these hurdles are removed.
