Excise to start crackdown on property tax defaulters from 27th

KARACHI: The Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has decided to start crackdown on property tax defaulters from July 27, 2015.

Well-informed sources within the Excise Department told Customs Today that permission has been granted by the Sindh government to arrest those who are involve in evading property tax. It is pertinent to mention here that the Excise Department is gearing up to achieve the financial target assigned to them for the fiscal year 2015-16 from the beginning.

Sources further revealed that in the first stage, notices will be served on the defaulters, while in the next stage they will be arrested. These sources further said that the raiding parties were being formed nowadays, while the local police would also extend help to the excise teams to launch the crackdown on property tax defaulters.
