ISLAMABAD: Experts of international trade facilitation have said Pakistan should promote trade competition through FTO and cooperate in trade facilitation agreement and its implementation.
A training workshop with cooperation of Commerce Ministry was held under European Union funded programme Trade-Related Technical Assistance (TART) on the topic “Opportunities for Private Sector” in which FBR Member International Customs Muhammad Zubair, representatives of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, presidents of All Pakistan Customs Association and people from public sector participated.
International trade facilitation expert Dr Edna Ramirez Robles and former Pakistani diplomat in WTO Dr Manzoor Ahmad gave presentations in which they shed light on FTO. Dr Edna said that Pakistan has 32 chambers of commerce and all stakeholders should participate in policy making.
