One of the taxpayers on condition of anonymity said that he had repeatedly applied for his refund claims, but the authorities concerned did not pay him anything so far.

The sources further informed that the Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL)—-a subsidiary of Federal Board of Revenue-FBR will look into the matter, as the refunds are being halted due to some software problem.

“The FBR authorities concerned have asked the PRAL management to ensure speedy removal of the issues being occurred in the software, so that the taxpayers would get their due refund claims soon”, sources added.
