Saleem Mandiviwala to chair Senate Committee on Finance meeting today

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of Senate Committee on Finance will be held in Parliament House. Chairman of committee Senator Saleem Mandiviwala will preside over the meeting.

Sources informed Customs Today that Chairman FBR Nisar Mohammad, Member Inland Revenue Policy Rehmatullah Khan Wazir, Member Inland Revenue Operation will brief the paticipants about the Income Taxation Ordinance 2001 section 138. Sources said that according to section 138 FBR have the right to deduct the withholding tax from bank accounts directly.

Sources said that a detailed briefing will also be given to participants about sales tax on import of CNG buses and other related issues. Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, Secretary Waqar Masood, Senator Ilyas Balour, Senator Nasreen Jalil, Senator Mohsin Khan Leghari, Senator Talha Mehmood will also attend the meeting.
