Faisalabad Appraisement collects Rs 4225.65m in four months

FAISALABAD: The Customs Collectorate has collected Rs 4225.65 million during first four month (July-October) of fiscal year 2017 against the set target of Rs3526.20 million.

Talking with Customs Today Assistant Collector Ameer Ali Khan said that Customs Appraisement collected revenue under the heads of customs duty, sales tax, income tax and federal excise duty during the above said period.

He further said, Faisalabad Appraisement collected Rs 1115.91 million in the share of customs duty against the set target of Rs 920.71 million with an increase of 121 percent in first four month of fiscal year 2017.

The Collectorate collected Rs 3062 million under the head of sales tax during the above said period against the set target of Rs 2556.31 million with an increase of 120 percent.

Faisalabad Appraisement branch collected Rs 47.68 million in wake of income tax during the above said period against the set target of Rs, 49.10 million with an increase of 97 percent.

The Collectorate have collection Worth Rs, 0.06 Millions under the head of federal excise duty (FED) against the assigned target of Rs 0.08 million. Customs Appraisement has surpassed the revenue targets altogether set by the FBR in four months of the Fiscal Year 2017.

It is pertinent to mention here that that Assistant Collector Ameer Ali is quite satisfied with the performance of the Collectorate in connection with the revenue collection during the last year of the first four months of the Fiscal Year 2016 while he stressed the authorities concerned of the Collectorate to further expedite the pace of revenue generation for getting more effective results.
