Faisalabad Appraisement collects Rs 1,581 million during July-August 2016-17

FAISALABAD: The Customs Appraisement Faisalabad surpassed the revenue collection target for first two  months (July-August) 2016 by Rs 351.49 million, as it collected Rs 1,581 million against assigned target of Rs 1,229.51 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs Appraisement was assigned revenue collection target of Rs 986 million under the head of sales tax (ST) but it surpassed the target by 115 percent, as it collected Rs 1,131.03 million during the said period.

Customs Appraisement collected Rs 420.12 million under the head of customs duty against the set target of Rs 216 million by achieving target up to 195 percent.

Sources said that Customs Appraisement generated Rs 29.84 million as income tax against the assigned target of Rs 17 million that was achieved up to 176 percent, while it collected Rs 0.01 million in wake of federal excise duty (FED) against the target of Rs 10.51 million during the said period.
