Faisalabad ASO impounds non-customs paid vehicles worth Rs6.8m

FAISALABAD: Collectorate of Customs Anti- Smuggling Organization (ASO) detailed three foreign origin vehicles including Vitz car, Toyota Mark X and Honds Civic worth Rs6.8 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs ASO Faisalabad car cell on the directives of Collector of Customs Preventive Fayyaz Anwar constituted anti-smuggling squad under the supervision of Deputy Collector Amjad Aman Leghari which also includes Superintendent Anjum Sheraz, Inspector Muhammad Waqas Leghari, Habib Miyu and others who took part in the operation.

Sources told that the above mentioned anti-smuggling squads enhanced patrolling and impounded three non-customs paid vehicles on different parts of the city. The anti-smuggling squad asked the drivers and owners of the vehicles to produce legal documents regarding possession of the vehicles, but they remained failed. The ASO team impounded the vehicles and after completing necessary formalities forwarded the cases to customs adjudication department for further proceedings.
